What is ECDL? ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence, known outside Europe as
ICDL - International Computer Driving Licence) is a certification system
allowing firms and individuals to verify their basic IT knowledge and computer
skills.
ICDL has gained a worldwide acceptance and recognition, both in corporate and
public sectors; it is being applied and respected in 137 countries of the
world.

About ECDL
The core of EDCL is the study program focused on learning and proving the
ability and knowledge through internationally acknowledged standardised
methodics. The aim of ICDL is to create a global standard of basic computer
skills and IT knowledge, to design a uniform qualification based upon defined
and measurable skills, to create an education- and training model, to increase
the level of knowledge and skills related to the use of personal computers and
their basic applications, and thus to support the improvement of manpower
mobility.

Gratex International in ECDL
In March 2005, Gratex International became an accredited test centre for ECDL
testing and certifying for MS Windows XP platform. Gratex provides complete
services for the acquirement of ECDL certificate – from initial course through
complete computer training consisting of 4 or 7 modules to specified testing
and issuing of relevant certificate.
